Futurepark AR
Scan the mall, catch the season.
A location-based AR hunt for Futurepark Rangsit — scan checkpoints across the mall, catch mascots through your phone camera, and trade full sets for rewards. One engine, rethemed for three seasonal runs in 2025.
Signature #9bd002The Brief
A mall you play like a game. Futurepark AR turns Futurepark Rangsit into a location-based AR playground — a Pokémon-Go for the shopping floor. Scan a QR to step in, and the mall becomes a map dotted with checkpoints. At each one, raise your phone and a character appears in the live camera, waiting to be caught. Fill a checkpoint's set and you trade it, on the spot, for a real reward. One engine ran three times across 2025 — each season redrawn with its own theme, mascots and look.
How it plays
Scan in, map out, catch, redeem. It opens with a QR: scan it, register, and you're playing in seconds. Inside, a live map of the mall shows every checkpoint and a collection board tracking what you've gathered so far. A button at the bottom opens the AR camera; point it at a checkpoint's marker and the season's mascot materialises on screen — tap to collect. Gather the full set at a checkpoint and the app unlocks a reward to redeem in the mall. The whole loop — map, collection, camera and catch — is a single Next.js web app on Vercel, with MongoDB keeping every player's haul and a custom AR layer placing the characters in the camera.

Three runs, three themes
Same game, dressed for the season. The engine stayed; the world changed three times. March — Big Heart, a collaboration with the Big Heart artists, scattered their heart artworks across four points to find and collect. June — Fishtival, themed on the sea and fishing, sent players hunting turtles, rays and crocodiles across thirty-two points. December — Christmas went full winter: Santa, a snowman, reindeer and a winter kid, spread over forty points. Each run kept the loop identical and swapped only the UI, palette and characters — fresh every time, while the system underneath never moved.

Built to re-run
One build, made to come back. The real design win is reuse: a single codebase that re-skins cleanly. Because the map, AR catching and redemption are theme-agnostic, each campaign is a content swap, not a rebuild — new mascots, new colours, new UI over the same proven loop. That's what let Big Heart, Fishtival and Christmas all ship in one year, and what makes the next season just another retheme away.
Scan a code, raise your phone, and the mall fills with things to catch — then hand in the set and walk away with the prize.
